Pretty easy-to-follow recipe, quite sticky dough for awhile though

What didn't?

I brushed the loaves with a beaten egg and water mixture, not melter butter - not sure if this was an improvement, though

Updating my own bake to say, this went moldy really fast, like 3-4 days. There's a note in the NYT Cooking comments about adding a tbsp apple cider vinegar to retard mold, has anyone here tried this??
